As leaders of a multi-unit Coalition, the Board of Directors will look to this seasoned executive to support growth and service goals and objectives, maintain and enhance the credit union’s financial health and stability, promote the organization’s mission and vision and ensure conformance with all applicable state and federal laws.  Through advocacy, leadership development and regulatory compliance services, the successful candidate will continue to build upon the strategy of balancing the relationship of delivering products and services through the credit union that have a value proposition, drive revenue generation through the organization’s service corporation and have demonstrated an active involvement in strengthening the industry.

Benefits and Relocation

Compensation and benefits for the Credit Union President will be very competitive with a benefits package that is second to none including complete company paid medical coverage (100%) in addition to completely funding pension/retirement plans vested on day one.   Benefits package value will likely exceed 70% of base salary.  MUST be US citizen or US permanent resident.  Local Candidates only.  No relocation will be provided.

Target Candidate Profile for Credit Union President

The successful candidate will have a successful track record in running a credit union and experiencing growth through leading edge marketing strategies. New president will have full authority to create strategic growth plan and will have BOD backing for any and all reasonable initiatives.  Will report to the coalition Credit Union Board of Directors.  In addition, the candidate will:

  • Develop strategies to grow credit union membership among coalition members
  • Utilize resources to greatly improve on-line presence and features
  • Create a marketing plan that connects with coalition members across a wide variety of career backgrounds
  • Prepare reports for the Board of Directors on the business affairs and financial condition of the credit union
  • Oversee the adequacy and soundness of the credit union’s financial structure
  • Review operating results of the organization, compare them to established objectives and take steps to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to correct unsatisfactory results
  • Support ongoing development of a positive environment and culture that allows the credit union to fulfill our mission
  • Responsible for talent development, hiring, firing and leadership of credit union staff
  • Evaluate performance of executives for compliance with established policies and objectives of the credit union and contributions in attaining objectives
  • Parent organization has exceptional resources to support upgrades in marketing and customer service.

Requirements to Apply

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of ten years of executive experience within the credit union field or related financial industry.
  • Ideal candidate will have experience as a key team member in growing credit union participation via progressive marketing, sales and customer service initiatives.
  • Experience creating or upgrading a financial institution’s on-line presence is a must.
  • Will display leadership through collaboration in a complex business structure.
  • Knowledge of financial industry compliance regulations is required.
  • Labor union experience is preferred but not required.
  • Must be US citizen or US permanent resident - no H1B or E1B.
